Repair

ImageRefresh has the ability to repair many printers, primarily lased based machines. We service all the major OEM: HP, Lexmark and Brother as well as Okidata, Canon, Dell and Xerox. There are others. Just ask. And… we’re not restricted to just laser printers. Repair services for copiers, fax machines, multi-function, scanners, impact and barcode machines are available too.

Many consumers opt to purchase an inkjet printer for home use or low volume printing at the office. These printers are inexpensive, save for the cost of ink, and are meant for casual needs. Because they are inexpensive, generally less than $100.00, they are typically not worth repairing. Minor repairs may be performed, such as those involved with mis-feeds or jams involving dirty rollers or a sensor flag being knocked out of place because of mishandling when removing a jam. Manufacturers typically do not offer any replaceable parts.

In the vast majority of cases, the economical thing to do with an inoperable inkjet is to replace it. We discuss what to do on our REPLACE page, should this be the only option you are left with.

If you own a laser printer, one that uses toner cartridges rather than ink, repairs may be the route to consider, especially if you have a substantial investment in the machine itself, a printer that costs $200.00 or more. Replacing it with a similar machine may be more expensive than a repair.

We do need to assess a nominal evaluation charge to cover our time. If you do agree to proceed with the repair, the evaluation charge will be credited to the final charges.

We can come to your home or office and perform the work on site, but would prefer to return to our repair center with your device to complete the repair so that we are not disruptive to what you may have going on. If you MUST have a printer to complete your project while we have your printer in the shop, we will provide a courtesy printer for your use. All we ask is that you pay for the gas you use (the pages you print). Cost per page is $0.03 for black and white (monochrome) and $0.15 for color (reasonable coverage, not photos or full page graphics). Scanning is $0.025 per page.

If no suitable printer is available, we will print your documents for you. All you need to do is email us or load them onto a USB drive. We’ll take care of the rest. You pay only for the pages that are printed or scanned.

To round out the shop repair service, we will clean your printer at no extra charge.
